The Western Swing Society has formed a Youth Program to get the next generation of Western Swingers involved!
The board has created a committee to manage the youth program consisting of Edd Burhans, Olen Dillingham and Dave Rietz.
We have contracted a Western Swing Youth Director of Music Dave Chan.
When we get the youth band operational and with some material prepared to perform, we plan to feature our WSS-sponsored youth band during each month’s dance session so that they can get some invaluable on-stage experience.
We are looking for middle to high-school-aged youth as a foundation for our band. We can supplement from our regular WSS musician base for any instruments needed for performances.
